Teamwork Free-Jazz Handclapping Ensemble:
EP Number 1 and cover

The Obelisk:
We put this structure up during Open House at our school. The tower itself was constructed with cardboard boxes that we cut and spray painted. We attached rubber bands on the inside to brace the boxes. It had been structurally engineered to unfold itself and stand upright, with plastic bags of volleyball court sand weighting its base. Carried out in six box-sized sections and assembled with zip ties, it took us less than two minutes to erect. After another two minutes, it fell over due to a strong wind and weak construction materials. After it was shuttled away by the authorities, we secured it and repositioned it on top of a small sign. It remained for all of about twenty minutes before it was finally whisked away, never to be seen again.

Each panel on the top five boxes was covered with individual art, the result of a nine hour art marathon. Pieces included magazine collages, hand painted bits, and a can of orange soda. It intrigued and attracted a decent number of onlookers in its half-hour of existence. Why aren't there more pictures? A two-fold reason - One "fold" was that we didn't even think about taking pictures during construction, really. We expected to be able to take it down after open house and take pictures then. Secondly, we expected to be able to take pictures of it while it was still standing. Neither of these things happened, so we only get two closeups..
